Elgato Game Capture HD PlayStation 3/Xbox 360 Recorder for Mac and PC up to 1080P (10025010)
I set it up in 2 mins and i was up and running. my videos @ 1080p look crisp. I am going to set up my ps3 to run via HDMI soon this thing will record amazing quality.
This capture card does everything times ten its worth every penny I spent way better than anything on the market right now and you can record in 1080p plus it's small as your hand
After about a half hour of figuring out how to connect the device, I've found it to be very easy, AV cable for PS3, HDMI(Which usually goes into the TV, now goes into the Elgato capture device) for the Xbox 360. It has the option to hook up a Wii U, iPad/iPod/iPhone, and comes with composite AV cables to hook up analog systems(PS2, Wii, PSP 2000/3000 if you have the TV adapter cables), I have not tested this on my AT&T DVR yet, review will be updated once I do.
For the Playstation 3, you have to adjust the Display settings to Composite AV, thanks to a patch, you can display the resolution to 1080p, you do NOT have to buy Sony's Composite AV cables to get the desired resolution, Elgato supplies their own cable, however, if you own one, it does have an adapter so you can hook up composite AV cables up(Allowing you to hook up analog devices as well, select Other on the game capture device.
You can adjust the volume of the game output, you can have the game sounds playing as you are streaming, and you also have the option to turn on the live chat(So if you are playing local with a buddy, you can add commentary into your gameplay)
The Playstation Pulse Wireless Stereo Headset Elite Edition, blocks sound from the TV/PS3 from playing on your videos, and this is when you are supposed to unmute the game sounds.
It has the options to edit your clips, so you can pick and choose which game moments to weed out, or cut commercials.
It also converts videos to support Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, Email, Apple TV, iPad, iPhone, Movie Maker, mp4 Original, mp4 1080, since certain formats are not supported on certain devices, though the format starts on .mp4.
For anyone with half a brain, I recommend this video capturing device. It's also NOT restricted to one computer, meaning you can switch from laptop-desktop, even bring it to a buddy's house to play around with.
